"To be a knight is no longer a nobility of name, but of soul."
A model of dedication, modesty, and altruism, St. Martin became a true example throughout the history of mankind, being considered the patron of soldiers, the poor, and the wronged. Elected bishop of Tours in 371, St. Martin dedicated his life to serving God and his fellow man, much like the ancient knights who fought to create a world where everything human could be fully realized in a balanced and harmonious way, promoting the Christian and moral values of tolerance, love, dedication, wisdom, and philanthropy.
Adopting Christian-cultural axioms, valuing the lessons and teachings of human history, and bringing the principles of chivalry into the modern era, the "Sovereign Templar Order of Saint Martin" Association in Arad, together with the Arad County Prefecture Institution, Arad City Hall, Arad County Council, Arad County Cultural Center, "Alexandru D. Xenopol" Arad County Library, and Arad Museum Complex are organizing the International Conference on Saint Martin, the forerunner of the creation of Christian Chivalric Orders.
